Clark Richey is the writer and director of the 2022 film "Mysterious Circumstance, The Death of Meriwether Lewis," starring John Schneider and Evan Williams, a period piece set in 1809 Tennessee.
Clark has pursued various entertainment interests over the last two decades culminating with his emergence as an independent filmmaker. While maintaining a successful engineering business, Clark began acting and directing in theater in 2008. His theatrical activities inspired him to renovate a historic building in his hometown into a 90-seat, live performance venue. His theater, The Claude Gentry, has become home to many variety shows, live radio programs and traditional stage plays, including "The Peacemakers - A Western," an original work he authored in 2016.
Following the premiere stage production of Peacemakers, a black and white feature length film of the play was produced, and from that, Clark's film company Six Shooter Studios was born. Six Shooter Studios has since produced critically acclaimed music videos and documentaries, as well as their latest feature "Mysterious Circumstance."
As an actor, Clark has recently played leading roles in the 2020 indie western "Bastard's Crossing" and in an episode of the History Channel series "Great Escapes with Morgan Freeman."
