Jonathan Dylan King is an American actor who spent most of his childhood in Italy and France. He was recently cast in the Netflix series From Scratch based on the memoir written by Tembi Locke. From Scratch is a Netflix Tv series starring Zoe Saldana and is produced by Hello Sunshine founded by Reese Witherspoon. Jonathan was born in Davenport Iowa and lived in Napa California, Illinois, and Minnesota as a young child. His mother, Lori King, has a Doctorate in Theology and is a professor in Rome, Italy. At age 7, he moved to Rome, with his mother and remained there until he was 16. Desiring to experience another European culture, he chose to move to France to finish his high school education and received the BAC in 2011. He then moved to Paris where he studied at the Sorbonne University and graduated with a degree in Applied Languages. He speaks four languages, including English, French, Italian, and Spanish. He began his acting career in Paris before moving to Los Angeles in 2016. He has studied with Marjorie Ballentine at her studio in Los Angeles. Since then he has starred in several award-winning projects such as Kidding, on Showtime, where he played a young Jim Carrey before landing the role of Silvio on the Netflix series From Scratch.
