Born on Madeira Island, João Brás is a film director and screenwriter. His short films have been selected in various festivals around the world. As a child, he was part of dance and theater groups, where he began to develop his creative and artistic sensitivity, feeling that way complete, given his involvement in the various artistic areas. He received several awards for his creativity and impact in Madeiran cinema. Mère is his first feature film.
