Sharath Ravi is an Indian actor, predominantly appearing in the Tamil films. His early works as an actor showcased his potential in the short film arena, since 2008. With over 5 years of experience in the short films circuit, Sharath managed to grab audience's attention with comedy, villainous and character roles with aplomb, eventually making his Tamil feature film debut in the heist comedy, Burma(2014). He has acted in about 20 films and more than 5 web series, including Vella Raja, the first ever Tamil web series to be featured as Amazon Originals on Amazon Prime.

After acting in a few movies, Sharath played a Malayali character in a short film, Kanneer Anjali, directed by Guru Smaran. He also featured in a short film called Puzhu, directed by Charukesh. Both these films gave him the much needed break, as they featured in the anthologies, Aviyal and Bench Talkies, produced by the ace Tamil film director, Karthik Subbaraj. He also did a pivotal role in the film Irumbuthirai, directed by P.S. Mithran, cinematography by George. C. Williams and music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, which became a sensational hit. One of his other notable performances came in the blockbuster movie Dhuruvangal 16, directed by Karthick Naren. He acted in a pilot short film called Night Show, which was made into a feature film, Maya, starring the lady super star, Nayanthara and directed by Ashwin Saravanan. Due to his stellar performance in the short film, he was retained for the same role of an auto driver in the feature film, too, which again earned him the much needed appreciation from the film buff. He also starred in hit films like Maari and Hero. His role in the film segment Miracle of Putham Pudhu Kaalai is well received.
