Marlana grew up in a small town in Western Pennsylvania just north of Pittsburgh with her three younger brothers. Having grown up in a time pre-internet, cellphones and cable, she and her brothers lived for the worlds they built with their imagination. Unbeknownst to her, Marlana could make this world building skill into a career. She embarked upon her higher education journey finding herself at Point Park University where she earned a BFA in Musical Theatre and a minor in Jazz Dance. Upon graduation, Marlana has played many regional theaters across our great nation. Two of her most notable were playing Patsy Cline in Always...Patsy Cline and Frankie Valli's wife, Mary Delgado, in the Tony and Grammy award winning Broadway show Jersey Boys. She then expanded her acting work into commercials, film and television. During the pandemic, Marlana decided to further her education and now hold an MFA from USC's School of Cinematic Arts.
Marlana is a natural born storyteller and draws from her imaginative years and worldly travels when developing new projects. She wants to tell stories that inspire, captivate, and expose the viewer to people, places and views that may be different from their own. Marlana believes in equality for all and wants to amplify the voices of women of all ages, ethnicities and religious backgrounds. She believes in humanity, diversity and inclusion. Human connection and storytelling are necessary in exposure. It is the only way to get past our fears and prejudice.
