Luis Ponce(IV)

Luis Ponce is an actor and comedian based in NYC. He studied acting at the University of Puerto Rico. He is the Artistic Director of the Latino improv comedy group: Teatro220. Was a member of INTAR's Unit 52 in 2019 and did his Off-Broadway debut as a cast member in "Julio down by the schoolyard" by Julian Christopher and directed by Lou Moreno. Winner of Latin Alternative Theater Awards (LATA) 2018 Best New Director, for the one-woman show inspired by the aftermath from Hurricane María in Puerto Rico "Lo Que Nos Dejó". Was the lead actor in the play "Mr. Mr. & Dr. Dr." winner of Best Production in 2018 at FUERZAfest, a Latino theater festival organized by the Hispanic Federation. On his recent credits is also the episodic mockumentary, which he produced and starred in, "Ponce: El Perdedor... De Peso". A comedy show about his journey to prove to himself that he could still be funny at a lighter weight. He has acted in short films, TV commercials and theater. Luis is excited for his future projects and is looking to expand his career with new projects and opportunities.
