Galina was born in Sofia, Bulgaria. Galina found early success in life as a world-class athlete in the sport of Judo, where she was one of the youngest children on record in the Former Soviet Union to receive her black belt at the age of 13. As a competitor, between 1987 and 1997, she was a 4-time Bulgarian National Champion and 4-time silver medalist in international competitions. Aside from judo, Galina was a National Bronze Medalist in Karate, a champion for the City of Sofia in the 400-meter dash and a successful competitive team handball player.
Galina transitioned from athletics to modeling after moving to Puerto Rico in 2004. To further her modeling career, she moved to Miami, FL in 2007. While there, she built a career as a successful print model. Galina's fluency in Spanish and exotic looks, made her transition into the Miami acting scene a natural one. While there, she made multiple appearances in Telenovelas and other Latin American TV programs.
After catching the acting bug in Miami, she relocated to Los Angeles in 2013. Since moving, she has acted on both on stage and screen, has done voice over work and shot multiple TV commercials. She has also established herself as a successful print and fitness model.
Galina is multilingual. She speaks English, Bulgarian, Russian, Spanish, Croatian, Macedonian and Serbian.
As well as being a former world-class athlete, Galina naturally has a very strong fitness background, specializing in personal training and mixed martial arts.
She is also a regular volunteer a several Los Angeles area women's domestic violence shelters, where she teaches self-defense.
