- Director
- Writer
In 2014, she became an official member of
International Animated Film Association.
From a young age, her interest in art motivated her to study painting in high school.
She then went on to study puppetry.
Through her work and experience with puppets and cameras during her student days,
as well as her interest in animated films, she made a short animation film using
the stop-motion technique as an academic dissertation project. She worked professionally in short films and feature films for several years
as a photographer.
The photography in making a stop motion animation was an important experience,
one that had a lasting influence on her.
Given that creating stop-motion animation is an arduous, time-consuming,
and lengthy artistic process, two stop-motion animated films have been
created by Samaneh Lashgari over the past years.
These films have been featured in the competition sections of many prestigious
international short film festivals and have won several awards
for Best Animated Film.
Her first film is titled "Snoring, Cigarette and Crow's Bone" and
her latest film is "our photo memento"
