Melanie Mahdessian's work as a producer and filmmaker combining visual aesthetics with character-driven storytelling, centering on narratives that explore new perspectives.
Due to her mixed heritage (Belgian-Armenian-Lebanese), she is drawn to stories that consider our undiscovered qualities as hidden strengths and go into how love is a powerful tool. She particularly seeks out stories where the underdog is being put to the test.
After graduating from Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Visuels de La Cambre with a BA in Fine Arts, she pursues an MA in Theatre and Film Studies at the University of Antwerp where she receives the Actua Award.

Combined 8 years of experience in Producing, Production Strategy/Management & Operational Support, and Visual Storytelling on indie, big-budget feature films, episodic, and ads.
