Robert Hakesley
- Actor
- Director
- Writer
Robert was born and raised just outside Vancouver in Surrey and White Rock B.C.. Playing guitar, percussion and singing from a young age he's also dabbled with trombone, saxophone but more recently pretty decent on ukulele and harmonica. Robert has done some stage productions along with some corporate, short and feature films.
A retired firefighter (25 years) and carpenter Robert has plenty of life experiences to draw from for his roles as an actor. He carries a responsible, authority-figure intelligence which lends easily to the CEO, businessman, fire chief, cop and military type of roles. Growing up in an inner city Robert is more than capable of playing a mid level criminal, a corrupt corporate leader, congressman, or other such societal derelict . Think John Hamm in Mad Men, Travolta in Pulp Fiction or the General's Daughter, Javier Bardem in No Country For Old Men.
That said, Robert an easy going guy with a positive outlook, good nature often using humor to engage people. This leads well to "Dad" on Hallmark, the sensitive employer or the lawyer who is doing his best with the worst. Always firm and fair.
Robert can be versatile and edgy in comedy, drama or horror playing complex, outrageous or even flamboyant characters such as Tim Curry in Rocky Horror Picture Show, Ray Liotta in Good Fellas or Ric Flair WWF.
