Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which emanates from Aew Universal once again. We’ve got Taz and Excalibur on commentary as usual, so let’s get to the action!
Match #1: John Silver def. Serpentico
My Thoughts: This was a really solid start to this week’s show. Serpentico was his usual reliable self (even if we did get a screaming Luther in his corner) and so was Silver. A great match even if this felt like something of a showcase for Silver on the road to the Trios Championship final.
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Diamante def. Charlette Renegade
My Thoughts: Diamante’s back! It’s been some weeks since we’ve seen her in action, just a shame she had to come back to Renegade Sisters shenanigans, which totally took away from this match this week rather than adding to it.
My Score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #3: Angelo Parker def.

Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which emanates from Aew Universal once again. We’ve got Taz and Excalibur on commentary as usual so let’s get to the action!
Match #1: Ari Daivari def. Fuego Del Sol
My Thoughts: Loved this match. Fuego looked like a badass for once, taking it to Ari – who really took a beating in this match, the antithesis of how we’ve seen him recently in Aew. Eventually Ari cheated to get the win as all heels do. Surprisingly great match to open Dark.
My Score: 3.5 out of 5 Match #2: Willow Nightingale def. Robyn Renegade
My Thoughts: What’s not to love about a match featuring Willow Nightingale? Imho, she needs to be signed with a major promotion Asap, she’s got the personality, the charisma and the skills and every crowd she wrestles in front of Loves her! Plus the Renegade twins...

Welcome to this weeks review of Aew: Dark, which once again comes from Aew Universal and features the Aew debut of Marina Shafir, another of the recently cut WWE roster and a member of Ronda Rousey’s four horsewomen Mma stable.
Match #1: Kris Statlander def. Marina Shafir
My Thoughts: Despite losing the match, Marina Shafir made a super-solid debut, really looking like her wrestling training on top of her Mma background has really stood her in good stead for a long wrestling career. She’d definitely be a good addition to the Aew womens roster that’s for sure. Superb opening match.
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Nick Comoroto def. Dean Fleming
My Thoughts: Anyone else only just notice that there’s a Dalek-esque soundbite at the start of Comoroto’s entrance music? This was another sqush match for Comoroto, who made mincemeat of Fleming And stole his neck tie!

Welcome to this weeks review of Aew: Dark, which is back in Aew Universal and is so packed with action that intros are ket short and we get right into the action… So let’s get right into this review!
Match #1: Jon Silver & Alex Reynolds def. Shawn Dean & Carlie Bravo
My Thoughts: Absolutely fantastic to see Shawn Dean & Carlie Bravo back together as a tag team, even if they were booked to lose this one! This match was quite evenly matched for most of the time until Dark Order’s Silver & Reynolds eventually got the upper hand and the pin.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Riho def. Karma Dean

Welcome to this weeks review of Aew: Dark, the second episode of the show to eminate from Universal Studios in Orlando. Yes, Aew is bringing studio wrestling to their brand Finally making a distinction between Aew’s various programmes.
Match #1: Wardlow def. Jdx
My Thoughts: Jdx gets in a thrust kick before Wardlow takes over and decimates him with Five powerbombs and then his finisher for the win… Squash is too soft a term for this one!
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Big Swole def. Allie Katch
My Thoughts: Allie Katch makes her Aew debut and tried to get the better of Swole. Unfortunately a missed move gives Swole the opening to takeover the match and that’s all she wrote for Katch.
My Score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #3: Santana and Ortiz def. Chaos Project
My Thoughts: This was surprisingly better than I expected with Santana and Ortiz...

Welcome to this weeks review of Aew Dark: Elevation. I’m Phil and this weeks episode features a match between Sonny Kiss and Joey Janela – their feud apparently culminating/continuing on Dark, where most of this story has played out…And the breakdown of the Dark Order. It really is interesting to see both stories play out only on Aew’s YouTube shows and not across All shows like some other companies. Rewards those that watch all of Aew programming.
Match #1: Thunder Rosa def. Kaia McKenna
My Thoughts: Kaia McKenna was seriously no match for Thunder Rosa here. What little offense McKenna got in looked weak compared to the absolutely vicious attacks Rosa laid in on her. This one started out like most Rosa YouTube matches – opponent gets some offense in etc., but quickly switched into a absolute squash match.
My Score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #2: Gunn Club def.

Welcome to this weeks review of Aew: Dark, a shorter show this week but one that features the highly anticipated Three Strikes match between Big Swole and Diamante… Though if you read the dirtsheets, that match might not be the big hurrah people expected it to be. Let’s see for ourselves!
Match #1: Lance Archer def. Jason Hotch
My Thoughts: Really? Again? Seriously it was bad enough getting this shtick on Elevation but to have the same thing occur on Dark seems a) a total waste of Lance Archer talents and b) a total waste of time. Can we stop with the “Archer throws his opponent in and around the ring” stuff now and get Archer some actual matches?
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: The Bunny def. Laynie Luck
My Thoughts: Laynie Luck gets another outing on Aew programming, this time against a particularly aggressive Bunny, who had help from Penelope Ford.

Welcome to this week review of Aew: Dark, which continues the build to the Aew pay per view All Out, which takes place in Chicago this Sunday.
Match #1: Kris Statlander def. Selene Grey
My Thoughts: Selene Grey makes her Aew debut her in a match where she had Zero chance of getting in any offense or getting the win. This was Statlander’s to win on her way to the Championship match against Britt Baker this weekend… Statlander looked remarkably more vicious here than normal, which is hopefully a good sign for the PPV. This was still a squash though.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Joey Janela def. Robert Anthony
My Thoughts: The only interesting and stand out thing about this typicval Joey Janela match was the appearance of Kayla Rossi after Janela got the win – as she proceeded to slam Robert Anthony into the canvas with some Real force!

Welcome to this weeks review of Aew Dark: Elevation, which emanates from Pittsburgh – as did most of last weeks Aew shows! The first show post-Rampage, this one has a lot to live up to. Keep the quality consistent guys!
Match #1: 2.0 (Matt Lee and Jeff Parker) vs. Duke Davis and Ganon Jones
My Thoughts: Good god Duke Davis and Ganon Jones are huge, putting 2.0 at a size disadvantage. But that didn’t stop the duo of Matt Lee and Jeff Parker, whose obvious experience offset the size and strength of Davis and Jones. Looking forward to hopefully seeing more of Duke Davis and Ganon Jones in Aew though.
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Diamante def. Julia Hart
My Thoughts: Once again Julia Hart showed a more vicious streak, foregoing the smiles in the latter half of the match – which makes sense when you’re facing Diamante, who we all...

My Thoughts: Good god this was brief. Michelle got in some early offence, jumping Red Velvet before th bell. But this one was over before it began in all honesty.
My Score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #2: Capt. Shawn Dead def. Peter Avalon
My Thoughts: Wow. The Captain got a win here. I was honestly not expecting that… at all. This match was another super-fast effort, with Dean getting the pin before a minute was even up! Can we expect a push for the Captain going forward? I cerainly hope so.

Welcome to this weeks episode of Aew: Dark, I’m Phil and I’m not holding out much hope for this episode of Dark after Monday’s episode of Elevation. Let’s put that disappointment aside and get to the show!
Match #1: Ethan Page def. Danny Limelight
My Thoughts: If you’re going to have one of your major stars work against an “enhancement” talent then it really ouight to be Danny Limelight. The guy makes every single one of his opponents look good and usually gets a chance to shine himself – as he did here with a great tightrope walk into a flipping neckbreaker! Shout-out to Scorpio Sky on commentary too… funny, sardonic and a great voice alongside Taz.
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Dante Martin def. Sonny Kiss

Welcome to this week’s column of The Last Week In Wrestling, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have Mr. Rogers here with us. Mr. Rogers: Hello my television neighbor. I wanted to talk to you about violence. When people watch violence, that doesn’t make them violent. Violence is wanting to be violent and then choosing to be violent. When you watch wrestling, you are watching it because you want to watch wrestling. Watching wrestling doesn’t always have a meaning besides wanting to watch wrestling. Wrestling can be fun, but we should always remember that wrestling can hurt the people that do it, because it is violent. When wrestlers get hurt, that’s not your fault. However, you should always try to empathize with them when they are in pain. Mr. Robinson: Hello boys and girls! I’m in pain listening to this old-ass...

I don’t know what to expect this week given that Aew: Dynamite is moving to Friday nights for the forseeable – do we get more of the same, or can we expect some changes given the sweeping changes coming to Aew’s future? let’s find out…
Match #1: Nick Comoroto def. Duke Davis
My Thoughts: This match was over faster than the blink of an eye. Yet again Comoroto’s entrance, and the messing around with the ring steps, was longer than the actual match. What a waste of Comororto’s talent.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Aaron Solow def. Ganon Jones

Welcome to this weeks sub-2 hour long Aew Dark: Elevation… I say that because Aew literally put “almost 2 hours of wrestling” in the title of the show on YouTube! Hey, at least if they do that we know what to expect upfront. Let’s get to it…
Match #1: Qt Marshall def. Robo
My Thoughts: Despite Paul Wight saying on commentary that this match featured a “valiant effort by Robo,” this was a squash. And a bad squash at that. This is the kind of wasted TV time that could easily be cut and make Elevation a trimmer, faster, Shorter show.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Abadon def. Leila Grey
My Thoughts: Yet another squash match. Abadon made short work of Leila Grey who only got in a couple of punches and a kick in the corner in the entire match! Otherwise Abadon threw Grey around like a ragdoll.

Match #1: Jungle Boy def. Adrian Alanis
My Thoughts: Adrian Alanis got to go it alone in his first singles match against Jungle Boy, and wouldn’t you know it this was another of Aew’s quasi-squash matches, with just enough action to give this some length but featuring Jungle Boy pretty much railing on Alanis for the duration. Welcome to this weeks review of Aew Dark: Elevation, the seventh episode of a show that has, honestly, varied wildy in quality… and length. Let’s see shat this weeks episode has to offer!
Match #1: Ray Fenix def. Chuck Taylor
My Thoughts: Ray Fenix is bloody good isn’t he? Somehow he seems to pull out new moves almost each and every week. Here it was a nasty leg/rope tie up on Chuck Taylor that looked really aggressive – as was a lot of this match. This was very much mat and submission wrestling rather than high-flying crazy stuff, yet with just enough flair to make this a “Ray Fenix” match. A lovely, brief, short, swift 88 minute episode of Aew: Dark this week… Yes! Let’s repeat that brevity for this review and get right into it.
Match #1: Joey Janela def. Will Allday
My Thoughts: Well I’ll be damned… Will Allday looked great in this match, landing a fantastic, brutal-looking tope suicida on Janela and really giving Janela some stiff opposition. Literally. A great opener.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Scu def. Ryzin & John Skyler
My Thoughts: Ryzin and John Skyler are thrown together to face the veterans Scu. And you’d think that would be a bad thing for Ryzin and Skyler. It wasn’t. The duo instead made the most of their ‘TV time’ with some great team work and selling. Welcome to this weeks review of Aew: Dark which, like its namesake Elevation, is a shorter show this week. Thank god. Like the show, let’s keep this review short and sweet too – let’s go!
Match #1: Dark Order def. Jake St. Patrick, Sage Scott, & Chandler Hopkins
My Thoughts: Godammit, Evil Uno and Stu Grayson are good, aren’t they? They made this look easy, ebbig and flowing, tagging in and out, destroying the team of St. Patrick, Scott and Hopkins. Throw Reynolds in the mix and you have. tremendous trios team! Hell, throw Any Drak Order member in with Uno and Grayson and you have a damn good Trios team! Short and sweet.
My score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Team Taz def. Brick Aldridge, Justin Law, & Hayden Backlund
My Thoughts: A Backlund… on Aew? Ok, so Hayden might only be a distant relation of the legendary Bob Backlund but still.

My Thoughts: A Backlund… on Aew? Ok, so Hayden might only be a distant relation of the legendary Bob Backlund but still.

Welcome to the first review of Aew Dark: Elevation here on Nerdly. The first you say? But this is episode 3, how can this be the first review? Well, if I’m honest, I thought the first episode of Elevation was so bad I actually turned it off before the end of the show… bad as in it just felt like a retread of Dark; there was nothing – in my opinion – to distinguish it from Aew’s other YouTube show. So, with a sour taste in my mouth from the debut episode, I also skipped episode 2 last week. I didn’t even watch it. But you know, Aew fan boy that I am I had to give Elevation another go… Which leads us to this review!

Welcome to this week’s All Elite Wrestling: Dynamite review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have Kenny Omega fighting Joey Janela for a title shot…Joey’s title shot…screw it. Why don’t they just come right out and explain that this is a shot at a title shot for Joey? World Title Eliminator? They didn’t make it very clear that it was an extension of the actual Eliminator Tournament from just a month or so ago. The instupidable Tony Khan has confused me with his instupidableness, so I’ve contacted a recent addition to the Nerdly wrestling family to handle the review this time:

Welcome to this week’s All Elite Wrestling: Dark review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and it’s been a little while since I reviewed Dark, because the match amount and weekly length of the show was becoming very difficult to deal with as the rest of the usual wrestling shows were coming back and yada yada yada. In an effort to retain my sanity, I’m gonna start reviewing Aew Dark a bit differently. Since they just keep loading this show with squash matches, I’m going to stop reviewing this show per match and instead just make comments about the best performances of the wrestlers themselves. My apologies to those that want an individual match review per show, but I don’t wanna start to hate this show and reviewing a show that has a weekly card that is in excess of twenty or so matches…...

Welcome to this week’s All Elite Wrestling: Dynamite review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have the fallout from All Out and it’s…a whore-house on fire from the rump rash? There were several good matches on All Out, but the bad (three 0 matches and Matt Hardy’s injury debacle) just brought the show down to some-thing I just couldn’t rate well at all. If you disagree, then I won’t hold it against you. For a lot of people, All Out was a huge hit, but to me, it was just shit. Well, I’m walking into this hoping that this show is good so I can give it a good review, so…

There were some growing pains, but All Elite Wrestling has been able to hold its own during the days of Covid. In their last PPV, Double or Nothing 2020, they played up the situation with what’s probably the best ever use of the cinematic wrestling match gimmck with the Stadium Stampede. Now they’re getting ready for their next big PPV, Aew All Out 2020.
There’s some history behind the name of this PPV. Aew’s prototype show back in September 2018 was called All In, which centered around various wrestling promotions and indie talent working together. Aew officially launched a few months later and around its anniversary they had the first All Out. It gave us the crowning of the first Aew Champion in Chris Jericho, an all-women Casino Battle Royal, the surprise debut of Orange Cassidy, and the first (and hopefully not last) Cracker Barrel Clash.

Mickey Rooney: Jimminy-jillikers! Well, we have thirteen matches for this review, because thirteen is a lucky number. There are some good wrestlers on this card, so let’s get to watching…
Match #1: Best Friends def. Demetri Jackson and Storm Thomas
My Opinion: 3 out of 5 – This was far too short for a match so prepared to knock your socks off. Every-body worked hard to keep the pace up and they were successful. This wasn’t so action oriented, but it was steady wrestling that never faltered. I liked what was here, but I wanted more of it.

Welcome to this week’s All Elite Wrestling: Dark review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and Alex Jones is a crazy prick. We’ve got a super-sized 12 match extravaganza that has Ftr competing, in addition to several notable others. Pizzagate was bullsh*t and this show starts…when-ever you play the video on YouTube.
Match #1: Ftr def. The Initiative
My Opinion: 2.8 out of 5 – Ftr and the team of Avalon and Cutler had a nice romp around the block that was never able to quite reach its potential, but it was still hearty wrestling action and that’s always welcome.
Match #2: Joey Janela and Sonny Kiss def. Michael Nakazawa and Pineapple Pete (Sugar Dunkerton/Suge D)
My Opinion: 2.8 out of 5 – This was a bizarre match with a lot of Kiss/Nakazawa chaos with oil and asses, but the wrestling was crisp and unique.

Welcome to this week’s All Elite Wrestling: Dark review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and I’m writing this out of order, so I can say a bit about the numerous accusations of sexual misconduct (to put it very lightly) from wrestlers all over the world. Just because there are a plethora of deviants in wrestling, that doesn’t mean you have to quit wrestling or be ashamed to watch it, but it does mean that it’s gonna leave a bad taste in your mouth for a while. As many pigs as there are in wrestling, it would seem we also have many who are good people as well. Jordan Devlin may be a monster, but Daniel Bryan (Bryan Danielson) seems to be a good man, by and large. Marty Scurll might be a scum-bag, but Jeff Hardy has a great reputation (his drug addiction...

Welcome to this week’s All Elite Wrestling: Dark review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have…Ahhhhhhhh!!!!!! We’ve been f—— robbed! Where’s the Camberet? My Lyndatto sculpture?! The Rings of M’fulche?! Every piece of art has been pilfered like a virgin’s sweet cherry! I’m going to smash Pandetti when I see that little Italian! Well, while I mourn the death of my Shangri-La, perhaps you’ll enjoy the buffet of semi-nudified flesh that leaps across the canvas. Oh! The f—— Pfhindala! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!
Match #1: Natural Nightmares (Dustin Rhodes & Qt Marshall) def. John Silver and Alex Reynolds
My Opinion: 3 out of 5 – I enjoyed this, with S&r really doing the big work here. It’s nice to see both of them getting to shine with ol’ Dustin and Qt. As matches go, this was meaty and mean, but never too showy.

Welcome to this week’s All Elite Wrestling: Dynamite review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have Chris Jericho in “The King Of The Universe!” See Chris on Rygell 7 with the three-boobed babes: “Move, you triple-jugged bitch-hussies!” See Chris battle the nitro-lizards of Zangularos: “Eat shit you atomo-balled psycho skanks!” See Chris fight Charlie Brown: Hey, blockhead, where’s that pumpkin-headed dip-shit Linus at? Hey cue-ball, shut your ass!” Chris Jericho…King Of The Universe! Aew starts now…you stupid idiot!
Match #1: Young Bucks and Matt Hardy def. Private Party and Joey Janela The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Hardy’s vessel tonight was one of the old school, extreme variety! Hardy and Quen started the match but the Bucks quickly tagged in for some tandem offense on Private Party. Janela entered the fray and ate some superkicks from the Bucks! Janela tagged out to Kassidy,...

Aew Dynamite was packed this week, with Brian Cage making his first appearance on the show after debuting at Double or Nothing, Ftr (formerly the Revival in WWE) made their Aew debut and to close the show, Mike Tyson and Chris Jericho had a pull-apart brawl that might be setting up a future match between the two.
Well, if you ask David Arquette, it is setting up a match for Tyson.
Arquette appeared on Boston sports radio station Weei Wednesday afternoon and implied that he knows when and where Tyson will make his return to the ring. Wednesday night, Tyson and Chris Jericho brawled as Aew Dynamite went off the air on TNT.
Arquette, who has been dabbling in pro wrestling again since 2018, appeared on an episode of Being the Elite last summer.

Welcome to this review of All Elite Wrestling: Double Or Nothing, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we lost Hana Kimura, Shad Gaspard and Larry Csonka. Shad and Larry have GoFundMe pages you can donate to here and here. When I was Pam Grier, my sweet, black ass always loved to watch half-naked people grab each other real hard and I’m doing that now as Double Or Nothing begins…now.
Match #1: Best Friends defeated Private Party
My Opinion: 3.4 out of 5 – This was a sparkly match. Sparkly is the word I’m sticking with…sparkly out the ass. While no Steiners/Road Warriors clash of maniacs frenzy, this was an encouraging sign for Aew’s tag division, as Pp did better than they have in the past, while the BFs line-danced their way to the win.
Match #2: Brian Cage defeated Darby Allin, Colt Cabana, Orange Cassidy,...

All Elite Wrestling’s PPV schedule is more sporadic than WWE’s. When they did their last show, Aew Revolution, it was on Leap Day. It was a different time. The coronavirus was still in the “not that big deal” phase where delaying the new James Bond movie seemed like a silly, exaggerated response. The match of the night was Hangman Page and Kenny Omega vs. the Young Bucks and the aftermath was very open-ended as all four men and Cody were set to take on the Inner Circle in what was supposed to be Aew’s version of War Games.
Soon after, they did a show in Jacksonville with no audience due to Covid-19 concerns. Next thing you know, they’re at Qt Marshall’s training facility in Georgia for a month’s worth of tapings, featuring 1/3 of the Aew roster and a handful of indie wrestlers. The Young...

Welcome to this week’s Aew: Dynamite review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have a wild brawl in the main event, as well as the continuation of the TNT Title Tournament. Wait, no we don’t. Joe Don Baker is a great actor. Yes he is! Don’t f—— argue with me! Shut The F— Up!
Match #1: Cody Rhodes defeated Joey Janela The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
The two started off with a handshake. After a missed arm drag from Janela, Cody rolled up Janela for a one-count. Janela and Cody then traded near falls in a rapid pinning sequence. Cody baited Janela in for a chop. Cody lifted Janela and pancaked him forward with a standing vertical suplex. Janela fought back with fists and then an Irish whip on Cody to the turnbuckle, followed by a running splash. Janela stomped on...
