Following the release of “Predator: The Secret Scandal of J-Pop”, there was initially little to no reaction, which did not come as a surprise. Considering Johnny Kitagawa and his talent agencies enjoyed the status of the proverbial “holy cow” in Japan, especially among fans of the bands that came out of Kitagawa's talent stable, the response was not at all shocking to BBC reporter Mobeen Azhar and director Megumi Inman. However, as months went by, eventually the media, not only in Japan, took note of what was going on behind the facade of Johnny & Associates which paved the way to the downfall of the agency.

In their short documentary “The Shadow of a Predator”, Azhar and Inman continue their investigation into the case of Johnny Kitagawa, this time focusing on the repercussions of the media outrage after their first feature was released.

When you take a look at the entertainment industry nowadays, it seems the fight between art and commerce has long been decided. Whether we like it or not, the fact that the movies we can watch, the music we can listen to and the games we can play is decided by people looking at trends and current movement (without actually believing in their ideals), has become a reality. That money and power are the most important elements in this industry opens the possibility for predators, willing to exploit the dreams of people in order to gain personally or satisfy their dubious desires.

Rawalpindi, Dec 5 (Ians) All-rounder Ben Stokes was rewarded for his daring second innings declaration and attacking field placement as England sealed a famous 74-run victory over Pakistan in a thrilling Day Five of the first Test at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium for one of their famous wins.
Racing against time, light and a stubborn Pakistan batting order on the most docile of pitches, England held their nerve as Jack Leach claimed the crucial final wicket by trapping Naseem Shah lbw, clinching one of England’s greatest Test wins.
The 74-run win is England’s third Test victory in Pakistan, with Stokes becoming just the third visiting skipper after Ted Dexter in 1961 and Nasser Hussain in 2000, to win a Test match in Pakistan.
It was all made possible after Stokes’ bold declaration at tea on Day Four on Sunday, which gave Pakistan a stiff target of 343 for an improbable win. But an...
