I Survived Bear Grylls is coming soon to TBS, and the cable channel has released a preview of the new wilderness competition series. Comedian Jordan Conley is co-hosting the new series alongside survivalist Bear Grylls. The series will find competitors battling it out with games inspired by some of Gryll’s adventures. Premiering on October 25, 1997, Under Wraps was the inaugural Disney Channel Original Movie. The cornerstone of the network’s programming proved to be as close to appointment viewing as it got for ‘90s kids, along with the likes of ABC’s Tgif and Nickelodeon’s Snick. Moreover, Under Wraps served as a gateway to horror for many millennials. Before the age of streaming, catching a mummy movie on the same channel where you watched Disney cartoons and Boy Meets World reruns could have been your first exposure to the macabre.

Disney attempted to recapture the magic with last year’s Under Wraps remake. The original movie was successful — and continues to hold up 25 years later — for several reasons; relatable kid leads, a great Halloween atmosphere, and a sense of humor chief among them. “America’s Got Talent” season 17 is halfway through the first set of live shows — the “Qualifiers.” In this second round, 55 acts were divided into five groups for five weeks of performances, all in the hopes of advancing to The Finals. While series judges Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel are still around to offer their support and critique of the acts, the power is out of their hands and rests all America’s vote. Only two acts from each of the five qualifying groups will win over America and earn a spot in the “AGT” finale.

In the preliminary round of season 17 of “America’s Got Talent,” 138 acts were tapped by the four judges — Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, and Sofía Vergara — to move on in the competition. However only 55 are being featured in the five live Qualifiers. Among the 11 acts competing in Qualifier 5 on September 6 is Sofia’s Golden Buzzer, the dance group Mayyas.

Also in the hunt to be one of the two acts who get the most votes from America are three other dance acts: teenage soloist Max Ostler, pole dancer Kristy Sellars and acrobatic group urbancrew (Flyers of the South).

A trio of acts will raise their voice in song: 21-year-old Aubrey Burchell from Pennsylvania, 19-year-old Kristen Cruz from Texas and boy band Travis Japan from Japan.

Rounding out the roster of talent on “AGT” tonight are four variety acts: knife throwers Blade 2 Blade, comedian Jordan Conley, yo-yo performer Shu Takada and magician/rapper Mervant Vera.

Who’s performing tonight on “America’s Got Talent“? The Season 17 live shows continue September 6 on NBC with the fifth and final qualifiers group. Among this week’s contenders are Sofia Vergara‘s Golden Buzzer dance group Mayyas from Lebanon, who are hoping to become the second dance act in “AGT” history to make the winners list after Kenichi Ebina. Remember, only two out of this week’s 11 acts will advance to next week’s season finale, which means nine performers will be eliminated on Wednesday night.

This week, the Qualifiers 4 round of “America’s Got Talent” was chock-full of shocking results. Of the 11 acts who performed on Tuesday night, only artificial intelligence act Metaphysic and stand-up comedian Mike E. Winfield made it through to the finale. The other nine contestants were all eliminated on NBC’s long-running reality TV show. This marks the first week that a singer did not advance to the next round. Hmm, perhaps America is making a statement that they want to see more variety acts in the finale?

A sequel to 2021’s Under Wraps, which itself was a remake of the first-ever Disney Channel Original Movie from 1997, is set to premiere on Sunday, Sept. 25, TVLine has learned exclusively.

Season 17’s six-week run of live shows kicked off on Tuesday, revealing which wild card was chosen by viewers to round out the 55 acts currently competing for America’s votes.

Last week, viewers of “America’s Got Talent” were given their first voting task of this 17th season: to choose who would become the 55th and final live show act. Judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Sofia Vergara narrowed down the decision to four contestants: singer Ben Waites, singer Debbii Dawson, sword swallower Auzzy Blood and comedian Jordan Conley. During the August 9 live show, host Terry Crews officially revealed the results, and it was good news for Jordan.

During the comedian’s original audition (watch above), he was easily the best stand-up comedian shown in that episode. His confidence and infectious personality wowed the judges, with all four voting to advance him to the next round. In fact, Simon couldn’t stop laughing and Howie compared him to Kevin Hart.

At end of the August 2 episode of “America’s Got Talent,” the judges narrowed down the number of contestants competing in the live shows to 54. There is actually room for one more act, but they couldn’t decide on who should take that 55th position. That’s where you come in, America. For the second summer in a row, viewers at home have the power to choose a wildcard that gets to perform on the live shows. The four eligible contestants (chosen by the judges) are: singer Ben Waites, singer Debbii Dawson, sword swallower Auzzy Blood and comedian Jordan Conley.
