Maddie Small is known for her work in Issa Rae's Rap Sh*t, William Demeo's Gravesend, and the Daytime Emmy nominated series Tough Love. She has also performed Off-Broadway in Hooded ; Or Being Black for Dummies at 59 E 59 Theaters, which received a New York Times review.
Maddie grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and moved to NYC to receive her BFA in Drama from New York University's Tisch School for the Arts and a BA in English from the College of Arts and Sciences. She studied at The Meisner Studio (Victoria Hart), The Classical Studio (Louis Scheeder, Daniel Spector, David Brimmer, and Donna Germain), and Stonestreet Studios for Film and Television (Vance Barber, Ted Sluberski, and Andy Roth).
