Dmitry Vinokurov is a spirited actor with a characteristic soft Scandi accent and a sharp Russian mind.
Vinokurov was born on December 25, 1987, in Moscow, Russia. He has one older sister. His father, Andrey, and his mother, Nataliya, both trained as engineers before the collapse of the Soviet Union. Vinokurov followed in his parents' footsteps and trained as an engineer in Russia before moving to Finland. There, he undertook a masters degree and subsequently worked for a number of years. It was during this time that he had his first experiences with the arts through collaboration with local artists. He went on to star in his first short-film Skägget by Sylvia Javén.
In 2016, Vinokurov moved to Dublin, Ireland to pursue acting full-time. He studied in the Gaiety School of Acting and developed a reputation for his creative energy. He is experienced in and has a love for both martial arts and contemporary dance. During the autumn of 2021, he made his big screen debut opposite Clare Dunne as Dariusz in the feature film Herself (2020) directed by Phyllida Lloyd. He has appeared in TV productions as Halvdan in The Last Journey of the Vikings (2020), as Magnus in Season 2 of Rig 45 (2018) and most recently as Eugenius in Intruder (2021).
Vinokurov also produced and starred in the moving short-film United (2020), written and directed by Stuart Drennan, a passion project close to his heart. Most recently, he starred in the short film The Most Creative (2022) set to premiere at festivals in 2022.
Vinokurov enjoys an active lifestyle in Dublin where he continues to hone his craft.
