David N. Drake (b. 1986, New York) is a self-taught American filmmaker and photographer based in the UK.
His feature film Modern Washout was picked up for early development in 2019 by the BFI Network and his feature debut Dead Letters is being produced by Helene Sifre and Sam Bank of Braintrust. His BFI Network supported short film Left Over shot in September 2020 and stars Chloe Pirrie and Ian Hart.
David's photography has featured in publications like Teen Vogue, Creative Review, NME, and Clash. He has worked with artists like The 1975, Glass Animals, Django Django, Tom Grennan, IDER, and Kele Okereke. In 2016 the album cover he photographed for The 1975 was nominated for an 'artwork' Grammy.
