CTV in Canada has renewed Sight Unseen (season two), Sullivan’s Crossing (season three), and Children Ruin Everything (season four) for new seasons, but it is not known if those new seasons will air on The CW.

Sight Unseen wrapped its first season on The CW earlier this week. Starring Dolly Lewis, Agam Darshi, Jarod Joseph, Daniel Gillies, Alice Christina-Corrigan, Tony Giroux, Ennis Esmer, Tegan Moss, and Alec Santos, the series follows recently blind homicide detective Tess Avery (Lewis) as she continues to investigate crimes with the help of a seeing-guide.

We’ve got great news for Sight Unseen fans north of the border, and potentially great news for Stateside fans of the show.

The drama series starring Dolly Lewis and Daniel Gillies has been renewed for Season 2 by Canada’s CTV, just hours after its freshman finale aired on The CW. A CW rep, however, tells TVLine there is currently no news about the show’s U.S. future.

When Orphan Black co-creator John Fawcett read Kat and Niko Troubetzkoy’s new The CW show Sight Unseen, his response gave the half-sisters, who were producers on his own Peabody-winning BBC America series, a jolt of confidence. “We showed him the pilot [script] and he said, ‘This is one of the best detective thrillers I’ve read in a while,” Kat recalls.

The show follows Vancouver homicide detective Tess Avery (Dolly Lewis), who, after experiencing sudden sight loss and becoming clinically blind, resigns from her position. Soon after, she meets Sunny (Agam Darshi), an agoraphobic volunteer on a visual assistance app who remotely provides Tess with visual description via a lapel camera, and the two begin to take up cases on their own.

Ever since Sight Unseen premiered on The CW, viewers have had questions about Sunny (Agam Darshi).

Upon her introduction in the series premiere, it’s clear she’s concealing a part of her life from both viewers and Tess (Dolly Lewis), with whom she forms a fast connection.

Monsters and Critics was fortunate enough to speak with Agam about the mystery surrounding Sunny and what it’s like working on a crime series that delves deep into its characters.

This latest offering focuses on a woman who loses her sight and tries to understand how to continue doing her job.

Monsters and Critics got the chance to watch the first two episodes and it’s definitely a show you should be watching.

Daniel Gillies is returning to The CW after several years away.

Best known for playing Elijah Mikaelson on The Vampire Diaries and The Originals, the actor has also appeared on Virgin River and Seal Team.

Now, he will play a homicide detective on Sight Unseen.

Sight Unseen focuses on a young woman named Tess (Dolly Lewis), whose life is upended when she learns that she’s clinically blind.

After being forced to leave behind her homicide detective career, we see her trying to navigate a new way of life while simultaneously trying to crack cases.

Jake is there for Tess every step of the way, but their relationship changes considerably when Tess becomes more reliant on technology, which isn’t the type of policing Jake understands.

The CW has set an April 1, 2024 premiere date for All American season six and an April 3rd return date for Walker season four. The network’s spring lineup also includes the new dating series Lovers and Liars and Patti Stanger: The Matchmaker.

However, most noticeably, a release date for Superman & Lois was not unveiled alongside the network’s other series. All American, starring Daniel Ezra, returns on April 1st at 8:00-9:00 pm Et/Pt for a sixth season, followed by a sneak peek of Lovers and Liars (previously F-Girl Island) at 9:00-10:00 pm Et/Pt, moving to its regular slot on April 11th. Fifth Season-backed Blink49 Studios has acquired a majority stake in Front Street Pictures, a prolific TV series and movies producer for Hallmark, Lifetime, Sony, Universal, Warner Bros., Tubi and Paramount.

Terms of the investment were not disclosed, but the agreement expands Blink49’s Canadian production reach as part of its first major acquisition. Vancouver-based Front Street Pictures will continue to operate under its own banner and be led by president Charles Cooper as it expands its focus on TV movie production.

John Morayniss, Patrice Theroux, Jeff Lynas and Nelson Kuo-Lee — all veteran executives from Entertainment One — launched Blink49 Studios as a Canadian-based indie banner in 2021 to develop and produce both scripted and unscripted content. The Nexstar-owned broadcast network has ordered dramas titled Wild Cards and Sight Unseen, targeting both for premieres in 2024. “Wild Cards” will see the return of CW stars Vanessa Morgan, known for her work on “Riverdale,” and Giacomo Gianniotti, known for “Reign,” “Grey’s Anatomy” and “From Scratch.” As for “Sight Unseen,” the drama will star newcomer Dolly Lewis, “Dmz” star Agam Darshi, “The 100” star Jarod Joseph and Daniel Gillies, known for his work on “Virgin River” and “The Vampire Diaries.”

The CW has ordered two scripted series set to premiere in the fall of 2024: crime-solving dramas “Wild Cards” and “Sight Unseen.”

“Wild Cards” is a procedural starring two alumni of the CW: Vanessa Morgan (“Riverdale”) and Giacomo Gianniotti (“Reign”). Ellis (Giannioti) is a gruff, sardonic cop demoted from his role as a detective fown to the maritime unit, while Max (Morgan) is a spirited, clever con woman living a transient life and scamming everyone she meets. When Max gets arrested and ends up helping Ellis solve a local crime, the two are offered the opportunity to redeem themselves, with Ellis going back to detective and Max staying out of jail if they can learn to trust each other and work together.
