Alexis Arnold is best known for her leading role as Jodie Davis in the horse drama If I Could Ride on Amazon Prime. She is an American actress born in Houston, Texas. Her mother, Shanda Webb Arnold, is a respiratory therapist and her father is a business owner and fisherman. At a very young age Alexis would build pirate ships, castles, and spaceships out of cardboard boxes. She had a fun imagination and loved to watch movies. At the age of 5 Alexis Arnold expressed an interest in acting, but her parents were very reluctant and didn't really take the idea seriously. It was her persistence and determination that finally led her mother to give in.
In June of 2016 Alexis auditioned and booked the lead role of Elsa in a children's local theatre production. She was also working regularly as a model for brands such as BELK, Macy's, David's Bridal and Zulily. Shortly after, Alexis booked her first SAG feature film, Sanitatum. She worked with actors Elisabeth Rohm (Law & Order) and Richard T. Jones (Hawaii Five-0). Alexis was able to cry on cue from the 1st day she set foot on a film set. Her acting was so intense and so real that she would bring producers and directors to tears while filming.
In 2019 Arnold won her first award for Best Young Actress in the feature film, The Last Astronaut. It was a prestigious award given to her by the Houston Film Critics Association at Worldfest Houston. A few months later, Alexis attended an open call for the SAG feature film The Shipment (formerly known as Narco Sub). She won over the producers with her audition and was invited back to play the daughter of a former Navy Seal. Her character is kidnapped by the Columbian drug cartel and her father played by actor Tom Vera (Walker) is forced to become a criminal to save his family. She was honored to have worked with Lee Majors (The Six Million Dollar Man), Robert LaSardo (The Mule) and Tom Sizemore (Saving Private Ryan). Alexis was nominated for 2 Young Artist Academy Awards for her portrayal of Allison Stryker.
In 2021 Alexis spent the summer volunteering at a special needs therapeutic program for children with spinal abnormalities. She assisted in their rehab by helping them ride a horse safely. She also helped to rehabilitate injured horses. She wanted to learn all she could about her role for the movie If I Could Ride and wanted to do her absolute best to portray Jodie Davis. Her hard work paid off because she won multiple International Best Young Actress awards.
In 2022 Alexis was added as a lead actress on the Welling Films website and was hand picked by Director Shawn Welling (The Shipment) and Executive Producer Lee Majors (The Fall Guy) to work on the film Mission From Outer Space.
