- Andy is a 7 time Voice Arts Awards nominee, winning the Voice Arts Award for Outstanding National Commercial Web or TV (Best Voice Over) in 2017 and the award for Outstanding Political Announcement (Best Voice Over) in 2018.
- His first starring role on stage was in an adaptation of O. Henry's short story "The Ransom of Red Chief".
- While he's not known for being a mimic, he says he knew from a young age he wanted to voice characters as he was mesmerized by Mel Blanc and would imitate his various Looney Tunes characters at home and at school. He also loved acting out TV commercials in front of his parents camcorder.
- While he isn't acting Andy is a huge tabletop gaming fan and has over 200 board games in his collection.
- Barnett is a huge J.R.R. Tolkien fan. Two of his kids have middle names from the books: Strider and Theoden. As a child he remembers listening to the 13 Episode BBC Audio Drama and how it is part of what inspired him to become a voice actor.
