The newcomers are Sofia Wylie (The Map That Leads to You), Iman Vellani (The Marvels), Lyon Daniels (The Spiderwick Chronicles), Alexander Ludwig (Earth Abides), Ross Butler (Shazam! Several actors often transition from being in front of the camera to sitting on the director’s throne, and this is something the iconic Halle Berry is very familiar with. The 58-year-old made her silver screen debut in a movie called Jungle Fever (1991), directed by the legendary Spike Lee.

Written by Nicole Henrich, the film centers on Dawn (Cosgrove), who is desperate to get to France for a once-in-a-lifetime art opportunity. One day, she talks her way onto a Bachelor-type dating show set in Paris — only to discover the show is set in Paris, Texas as part of a ratings stunt by the producers. Now in jeopardy of losing out on her dreams, Dawn must find a way to get kicked off the show, until a real romance begins to blossom with Trey (Fode), the show’s handsome and charming bachelor.

It’s a bastion in the woods that protects fraternal twins Nolan (Percy Daggs IV) and Sam (Anthony B. French director Alexandre Aja has been known as a member of the horror helming fraternity called the “Splat Pack,” named for the extreme violence in their films. Certainly, many of his pictures, from the 2003 breakthrough Haute Tension and the 2006 remake of The Hills Have Eyes, to his exceptional, and most successful film to date, 2019’s Crawl — in which a family is trapped in the crawl space of their home as alligators surround them during a Category 5 hurricane in Florida (a personal favorite of Quentin Tarantino) — have proved his chops as a genre filmmaker. Now, he steps up to another level with a less gory and more psychological thriller style of film, Never Let Go, in which Halle Berry stars as a mother of twin boys who is traumatically haunted by her own lifelong demons, which she passes on to them in their remote house deep in the woods.

Horror comedy Reginald the Vampire is not being renewed for a third season at Syfy, TVLine has learned exclusively.

The series was an adaptation of Johnny B. Truant’s Fat Vampire book series. Created and penned by Harley Peyton (Twin Peaks, Chucky) who also served as showrunner, the dramedy imagined a world populated by “beautiful, fit and vain vampires.” Reginald Andres (played by Spider-Man: Homecoming‘s Jacob Batalon) tumbled headlong into it as an unlikely hero who navigated every kind of obstacle — the girl he loves but can’t be with, a bully manager at work and the vampire chieftain who wants him dead.

Halle Berry plays a mother with twin sons battling an evil spirit closing in on their wilderness home after a world-ending event in the trailer for Lionsgate’s Never Let Go, which dropped Thursday.

In the horror-thriller, director Alexandre Aja (The Hills Have Eyes, Crawl) has the remote house in the woods fitted with a long ropes to enable mother and sons to remain connected at all times as unseen dangers approach.

“The evil out there is clever. One touch without a rope is all it takes,” Berry’s character tells her sons at one point in the trailer, as they commit to keep tethered to the ropes for safety and connection. But as demonic forces engulf their off-the-grid house, one of the twins questions whether evil exists.

Lionsgate has released the trailer for the Alexandre Aja-directed horror film “Never Let Go,” starring Halle Berry.

“Never Let Go” follows a mother (Berry) and her fraternal twin sons (Anthony B. Jenkins and Percy Daggs IV), who have protected themselves from a malicious spirit for years under their family’s protective bond. However, when one of the boys begins to question the existence of the evil, the bond is broken, leading to a terrifying fight for survival.

Jenkins, Daggs, Matthew Kevin Anderson, Christin Park and Stephanie Lavigne round out the cast.

The Oscar winner turned up in Las Vegas on Wednesday during Lionsgate’s studio presentation to promote its new film, Alexandre Aja’s Never Let Go, which brings Berry back into a genre she explored more than 20 years ago, in earlier work like Gothika. But this one pushed her to new limits.

Set for release on Sept. 27, Never Let Go centers on a mother and her twin sons as they try to protect themselves from evil lurking in and around their home. The photos from CBS’s So Help Me Todd season two episode two show Todd wearing a green dragon hand puppet while the synopsis teases something nefarious might be going on in the courthouse. Directed by Nick Gomez from a script by Jamie Pachino, episode two – “Your Day in Court” – will air on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 9pm Et/Pt.

So Help Me Todd kicked off its second season by expanding its audience by 9% over the season one finale. And the first episode of season two averaged 4.77 million viewers, 5% more than its first season average, proving the network was right when it renewed the primetime drama for its sophomore season.

Oscar winner Marcia Gay Harden leads the cast as Margaret Wright and Skylar Astin stars as the titular Todd. Season two also features Madeline Wise as Allison, Tristen J. Winger as Lyle, Inga Schlingmann as Susan, and Rosa Arredondo as Francey.

Reginald hasn't had time to rest since he got turned by Maurice, and Halfway to a Threeway proved no different.

Reginald the Vampire Season 1 Episode 6 saw Reginald dealing with a crazed lover, but not one that he expected (or wanted).

Nikki, played brilliantly by Christin Park, added a great aspect to the show that we didn't know we needed until now. 

From Reginald the Vampir's Season 1 Episode 5's ending, to the interesting title of the episode, Halfway to a Threeway had some big and weird shoes to fill.

Thankfully, early in the episode, we get what we've all been waiting for: Reginald and Sarah share a romantic kiss!

Nikki's addition really added something special to the series and elevated the overall quality.

Nikki proved pretty crazy (she became obsessed with Reginald Very quickly), but she stood up to Angela.

Nikki: When my heart cracked open, I heard it crack.

Angela: Hearts don't crack.

Great comedy, fun reveals, and a new character made Reginald the Vampire Season 1 Episode 5 the best hour of the season so far.

Halfway through the season, Reginald The Vampire finally found its charm, and we are extremely happy with this episode's evolution.

Reginald continues his journey into love while balancing his training sessions and work at the Slushie Shack, but there's an added twist.

There's now an assassin hot on Reginald's trail, hired by the ruthless Angela.

While we don't know the exact religion that Sarah used to be a part of, it sounds like a serious cult-like organization. Her brother, Levi, was prepared to kidnap her if necessary.

Reginald took a risk by glamoring him to leave Sarah alone (for good), which added another risky move to Reginald's constant carelessness.

The specific rules of vampirism will vary from franchise to franchise. One quality shared by the vast majority of these vampires, however, is that they’re hot, by the most stringent standards of our human society — graced with flawless skin, chiseled cheekbones and, above all, slim, toned physiques.

Reginald (Jacob Batalon), the title character of Syfy’s new comedy Reginald the Vampire, is not hot. His not-hot-ness is neither up for debate nor incidental; it is explicitly the premise of the series, which Harley Peyton has adapted from the Fat Vampire book series by Johnny B. Truant. In theory, it’s a chance to toy with a well-trod genre, to put a fresh spin on the clichés that define it to this day.

Amazon Prime Video’s Tales from the Loop is a sci-fi series set in an idyllic alternate history rife with robots and wonderment.

Tales from the Loop, an Amazon Prime Video sci-fi series, brandishes a motif centered on curiosity and awe against a pastoral backdrop that – complemented by its focus on kid protagonists – seems intent on tapping into the retro-1980s genre vein that has fueled Netflix’s Stranger Things to phenomenal success.

The series, headlined by Rebecca Hall, comes from rather original source material in the fantastical paintings of Swedish artist Simon Stålenhag. Nathaniel Halpern is the credited creator of Tales from the Loop, on which he also serves as writer. The director’s chair is occupied by Mark Romanek, who helmed an array of iconic music videos from the 1990s, as well as Robin Williams’s creepy turn in 2002 film One Hour Photo and the ultimately-unfruitful 2011 Locke & Key TV pilot.
