Jay Dorsey a New Orleans native appeared in his first role as "Malcolm" in the film entitled "A Hat Is Not Enough" back in 2016 Directed by Clyde R. Jones (Soul Glo) of "Coming to America, Get on up and Players Club" just to name a few. The short Docu also received an African Oscars Award in 2016 for best Documentary short. Jay Dorsey's interest for acting began in 2016 when he was afforded the opportunity to audition for the role of Tupac Shakur in the biopic of the late Great artist which followed up with a chance to study under and work with the Multi-Talented Actor and Director Clyde R Jones. Jay Dorsey has since starred in several Stage productions along with the mini-series entitled "Work Day's With Ni'Jay" and several short films to follow. Jay's recent success was with the "We Will Dream Festival (NDD Nola) starring in "Drapetomania A Negro Carol" as Wayne, "The Angola 3" portraying Albert Woodfox. Jay also starred in the directed Tubi movie by Clyde R. Jones and a Dan Garcia production "Playing with Fire" (2023). Jay Dorsey has his sights set on upcoming projects and continues to thrive under the teachings of Actor/Writer Trazi Lashawn of Best Motion Pictures.
