Preeti Torul is an actor, screenwriter comedian and filmmaker, hailing from the Second City Toronto.
Preeti's on-screen credits include 'Bria Mack Gets A Life' (Crave), 'Odd Squad' (PBS) and 'Wedding Season' (Netflix). Her first televised stand-up performance at the 2019 Winnipeg Comedy Festival, is now streaming on CBC Gem.
Preeti has written for CBC's 'Air Farce' and 'TallBoyz'. Her original scripted dramedy; 'DEMONS', was selected for the 2022 E20 Reelworld Screenwriting program, the 2023 Netflix Diversity of Voices pitch program and she is now in development with Archipelago Productions on 'DEMONS'.
Her screenwriting work has been shortlisted for the 2021 Sundance Episodic Lab and the 2022 TIFF-CBC Screenwriter's Award.
As a director, her short film 'Where You From?', premiered at the 2018 Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival.
Being in front and behind of the camera, allows Preeti to perform and create for diverse audiences.
