Omid Taslimi is an independent Swiss-Iranian filmmaker, photographer and composer, was born in Basel, Switzerland on 12 May 1986.
After his education as audio engineer he worked as freelancer for several film companies in Switzerland, not only as audio engineer, but also as camera operator and photographer. In 2015 Taslimi was asked to make a short video report about an uprising humanitarian aid project called Be aware and share. As the small project grew to a mid-size organization the short report suddenly became a feature documentary movie. The movie "be aware and share" was released in January 2016, had its premiere at the Theater Basel and was screened in several theaters in Switzerland. In 2016 Taslimi started his own film production company TADIG productions. He produced and directed the music video "Für aui Wunder bling" for Collie Herb and several live videos for the release show of Herbs new album Bambus at Shützi Olten, Switzerland, where he got supported by The Mighty Roots, Jo Elle and La Nefera. Taslimi also produced and directed the music video "Tapout" for G-Free feat. Akrobatik, produced by Tumor Records Switzerland. In 2017 Taslimi produced and directed the music video "Break your old reflection" for LORIA and became supervisor and post-production instructor at the movie camp in Basel.
