- Gandharv Dewan, is a young actor, born and raised in New Delhi. He is a single child, born to architect parents, who often did not know what to do with him while they were still at work. So to keep him creatively occupied, they sent him to all kinds of classes for sports and workshops for music, art, theatre and dance. He took a liking to theatre and besides working at National School of Drama's Theatre-in- Education Company, he worked with IMAGO, a theatre group headed by Barry John at a very young age. The extensive theatre opportunities in his years at the prestigious, Modern School, Barakhamba road, helped him get admission in the Delhi University through a special admission, Drama quota. He studied, English literature at The Kirori Mal College and was a crucial member of their theatre society, The Players- a highly respected space known for its dedication, precision and rigor. It was during his under graduation days where he also got, a very solid base in making and understanding theatre under the mentorship of Keval Arora, he decided to pursue acting as a profession. After acting in several plays ever since school, he went on to direct a few at college and after. He worked with the well reputed The Tadpole Repertory and played Adil in their widely loved production, called Still and Still Moving written and directed by Neel Chaudhari, that opened at the Prithvi theatre in Mumbai, in 2012. Soon after, he went on to train at The National School of Drama(2015) and specialized in acting. His portrayal of Iago, in a production of Othello directed by Mohan Maharishi was revered and is still remembered. He moved to Mumbai in 2016, and continues to work in theatre and has worked closely with stalwarts like Manav kaul, Lilette Dubey and Vikram Phukan.
