A slam poet turned screenwriter, Ariel Sobel graduated magna cum laude from the USC School of Cinematic Arts as the first student to earn a BFA in Writing for Screen & Television and BA in Film Production. There, as a Trustee Scholar, she won the Marguerite Roberts Screenwriting Award and Jeffrey Jones Scholarship for Excellence in Writing. Her TEDxTalk, "Losing My Artistic License" was released in 2015.
