Chloe R. Fernandez
- Actress
- Writer
Chloe R Fernandez was born in Ridgewood, NJ where she lived until recently. She and her family recently relocated to Southern California. This talented, and vivacious author, advocate, motivational speaker, philanthropist, child actress and model will stop at nothing to make all her dreams a reality. Chloe is the author of the book, "PCD Has Nothing On Me" which is based off her journals and as a kid living with Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia, PCD. Her book was published through LifeRich Publishing as her wish with the Make-A-Wish NJ Foundation. Through that experience and her subsequent features with Macy's National Believe Day, The Wall Street Journal, FOX5NY and Nickelodeon, Chloe R was introduced to the only thing she loves more than creating awareness-acting and modeling.
She began her modeling career at BMG Talent in 2016. Chloe has since graced the runway for couture designers LuLuetGiGi, Lil Jewels Boutique, Linda Gail Fashions and Pin2gether during NYFW.
Chloe was diagnosed with Primary Ciliary (SIL-e-ar-e) Dyskinesia (dis-kih-NE-ze-ah) aka PCD at six years old but has been suffering from the rare disease since birth. Often confused with cystic fibrosis, PCD specifically affects the cilia - the tiny, hair-like structures that line the airways. If the cilia aren't doing their job, bacteria stays in your airways, resulting in breathing problems, infections and a host of other health issues that an estimated 25,000 Americans deal with every day. Through her determination to help others, Chloe doesn't allow for her medical challenges to define who she is. It's just not who she is! This determination lead to Chloe being selected as WebMD's 2017 Health Hero Advocate Award Winner.
Chloe is an avid reader and keeps journals of her life. She loves shopping, swimming, walks on the beach with her miniature schnauzer, Abby, trying new foods and spending quality time with her family & friends.
