Natalia graduated in Audiovisual Production at the University of Costa Rica and got a Master in Theory and Practice of Creative Documentary at the Autonomous University in Barcelona, Spain in 2011.
Her first feature film "Moving so slowly" had its World Premiere at IDFA 2019.
Natalia is an alum of DocStation Berlinale Talents, Coproduction Meetings of Guadalajara, Locarno Industry Academy at Sao Paulo and IDFA Academy. She's a 2021 Sundance Institute Documentary Fund grantee.
She has been a programmer at the Costa Rica Film Festival and at the Imagine Science Film Festival.
Also, she has been a guest advisor for the Miradas Fund of Ambulante 2021, juror for Proimágenes Colombia in the category of Short Filmmaking: Regional Stories 2021, juror in the 37th and 38th Annual IDA Documentary Awards and juror in "Primer Corte" in Interseccion International Film Festival in 2022.
