Born to a US Marine veteran and a legal secretary, Leanette has enjoyed a life journey of mastered variable accents in her career as a voice, theater, film, commercial, and television actress. Likewise operatic stints as Kate in "The Pirates of Penzance", and singing 'Greatest Hits' for a traveling Improv troupe. She joined the big screen world, landing a prime supporting role in the student film, "A Family Portrait", earning her a first film festival award for Best Supporting Actress. Soon after, performing in a dozen other films, a few television and web/media series and commercials, and various voice-overs. Then joined the Board of a sketch-comedy television show "You've Got to Be Kidding Me, America!" as casting director, producer, writer, and recurring player. Later joining a local murder mystery company as a grandiose mystery actor.
She has enjoyed musical stints as Leonie Asterbilt in "Dirty Work at the Cross Roads", Sister Robert-Anne in the critically-acclaimed award-winning musical-comedy "Nunsense II: The Second Coming", and performances in 10-minute and one-act play fests at the legendary Dog Story Theater, and Grand Rapids Civic Theater respectively. Lately, she's turned her attention to plays and song writing, audio book narrations and commercial/radio ads, alongside occasion screen acting roles.
