After more than a decade of following catfish stories, Catfish: The TV Show host Nev Schulman admits he continues to be shocked – and the latest season on MTV is a whopper.

Schulman brought catfishing to the mainstream via his 2010 documentary when he was catfished by a woman in Michigan. Realizing this phenomenon wasn’t unique to his situation, Schulman launched his series to help others who suspect they’ve been deceived.

Schulman said since he was catfished, the Internet has grown and provided a vast breeding ground for endless deception. “With the Internet now serving as this incredible multiplier of human interaction by pairing people with each other whom never, ever should or would have met otherwise,” Schulman told Showbiz Cheat Sheet. “You get an infinite number of interactions which many, lead to better or worse catfish situations.”

New episodes of Catfish: The TV Show and Help! I’m in a Secret Relationship are coming to MTV later this month. The cable channel announced the return of the two reality shows with a teaser video.

For Catfish: The TV Show, viewers will see the return of hosts Nev Schulman and Kamie Crawford appear alongside guest hosts Dylan Sprayberry, Tallulah Willis, Shan Boodram, and Laura Perlongo. The long-running series examines the truths and lies of online dating. Episodes present a "hopeful" dater who wants to discover the true identity of their online romance, or "catfish".

Travis Mills and Rahne Jones host Help! I’m in a Secret Relationship, which launched last year. The docuseries helps people figure out why their partners emotionally manipulate them into keeping their relationships a secret.

The proud papa revealed the newborn weighed 7 pounds and 15 ounces and was a "little perfect ray of son-shine." He also gave fans their first glimpse of the child by posting a video of himself holding the little one. "Beau & Laura are all giggles and snuggles and we couldn't be happier," he captioned the footage on Thursday. Yes, Nev "Reverse Google Image Search" Schulman actually has a hard-to-spot cameo alongside his wife, Laura Perlongo, in the horror film. As it turns out, they're two of the figures featured in the painting Bullock's character, Malorie, is working on at the start of the film when her sister (Sarah Paulson) stops by to drop off groceries.

"#BirdBox was scary and all, but the creepiest part is how much the couple in Sandra Bullock's painting looks like me and Laura..." he joked on Twitter, before adding that their cameo is purposeful.

The MTV Catfish host and his wife Laura Perlongo had a sweet moment in the film currently streaming on Netflix, which he shared in a screengrab he posted on Instagram Thursday night.

For some reason, “Catfish” host Nev Schulman is depicted in the painting viewers see Sandra Bullock’s character working on at the beginning of the movie.

Based on the novel of the same name by author Josh Malerman, “Bird Box” centers around a group of characters trying to evade unseen monsters who force those who look at them to commit suicide. Prior to the monsters first showing up, Bier and screenwriter Eric Heisserer introduce Bullock’s character, Malorie, as a painter whose apartment is full of works of art.

Malorie’s latest painting is a riff on Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper, depicting pregnant Malorie at the center of a table surrounded by other people.

Less than a month after Catfish star Yaniv "Nev" Schulman was cleared of a sexual assault allegation in an internal investigation conducted by MTV, the show's host and producer is speaking out about the ordeal.

No details about the reported misconduct have been revealed, but the network did release a statement. "We take these allegations very seriously,” a spokesperson told The Daily Beast.
