A National Film Award-winning filmmaker, Niyaz's second directorial venture "Tajmal" has won the 67th National film award, for best film on a National Integration, along with various international accolades. A native of the Southern part of Maharashtra, Niyaz has done theatre, films extensively for the last decade and a half. As a writer, his movies have won various awards at the National & International levels.
