Sierra Gates

Sierra Gates is a television personality, founder and CEO who was raised by her parents in Decatur, Georgia. At the age of 15, she was pregnant with her first child, dropped out of high school and kicked out of the house. Needing a way to provide for her daughter, she found a job at the South De Kalb Mall as a make up artist. Her new job as a make up artist soon led her to begin her career in the beauty industry at the age of 16. Applying make up wasn't her forte but she thoroughly enjoyed perfecting eyebrows. As a young entrepreneur, Sierra faced obstacles after slight set backs in her cosmetic line start up. She then regained her confidence and successfully launched her cosmetic line, Sierra's Secrets Cosmetics in 2010. The 25-year-old has been a growing presence in the Atlanta fashion and beauty scene for about a decade since taking her brand across Metro Atlanta. It's fitting, when you consider how important hard work has been in getting Sierra ahead in life. Sierra opened The Glam Shop to offer a variety of services; Microblading, lash extensions, full-face glams, and hair services. Looking to expand, educate and share her beauty expertise Sierra travels the United States to provide courses in which she teaches how to master eyebrow symmetry and each aspect of Microblading. Sierra and The Glam Shop are featured on VH1's hit reality show Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, she joined the season 6 cast and is now in production for Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta season 7. She continues growing in the beauty business and is also becoming an advocate for teen moms and youth experiencing difficulties. She uses her story as an example of never giving up and hopes to mentor those who might find themselves in a position that she was in only a few years ago.
