WrestleMania 41 is knocking on the door, and fans couldn’t be happier about the epic build-up to the event. John Cena surprisingly turned evil, betrayed Cody Rhodes, and joined The Rock and Travis Scott after the Elimination Chamber match.
Thus, Cena is set to fight Cody Rhodes at the WrestleMania, and fans are speculating that ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin could make his comeback to WWE and take on The Rock. This leaves only Travis Scott without an opponent and gives Triple H, scope to surprise fans again at WrestleMania.

WWE has been going through a paradigm shift with the craziest of storylines and even crazier tweaks. One of the latest twists that has blown the world into unparalleled frenzy is of John Cena’s heel turn, courtesy of WWE Cco Triple H and his regime. Twenty-three years into the WWE, the world has never seen a bigger babyface than John Cena. Out of all his remarkable rivalries, the one with Cm Punk gave the WWE a cinematic feud of all time.
John Cena, being the quintessential WWE babyface, was up against Cm Punk back in the day. Punk, on the contrary, was the leading anti-establishment figure, carving a rebellion against authority at all times. The duo’s excellent promos even fueled further fire, and when the two clashed in the ring, the fans were glued to the squared circle without a blink.

Last year in 2024, the WWE Universe went into a state of shock when their childhood hero, John Cena, announced that it was time to call it quits. With 2025 being the last time he competes inside the squared circle. The fans hoped that Cena’s retirement tour would be a glorious one, where he would conclude his legendary run with a possible 17th WWE Championship, surpassing Ric Flair’s record of 16 titles.

However, his retirement tour has already been marred with criticism from the fans because he has showcased a questionable passion for the thing that he loves the most, wrestling. With Elimination Chamber taking place tomorrow at Rogers Centre in Toronto, Canada, the Peacemaker actor failed to appear at the final SmackDown segment, making the fans lose their cool.
Surprisingly, that didn’t stop them from putting on a show, as they featured one of the greatest promos of the year.

Fans of WWE and MCU unanimously felt like a winning moment, when they spotted what appeared like wrestling legend Seth Rollins, on the set of Anthony Mackie’s upcoming Captain America: Brave New World. The term "Yeet" doesn't originate from the WWE canon. Yeet is best described as a piece of Gen-z slang first popularized during Vine culture's 2015-16 era. Vines like "This B**** Empty" and "Transgender Street Legend Vol. 1" showcase the definition of the word best, as Yeet essentially means to throw something with enthusiasm and emphatic energy. The term can also be used to express excitement.
Today, WWE viewers associate the term best with "Main Event" Jey Uso, who has turned Yeet into not only a catchphrase but a top merch seller. The popularity of his use of the phrase was especially on display in a promo battle between himself and World Heavyweight Champion Gunther on the January 13th episode of Monday Night Raw.
New viewers who started watching WWE programming upon its Netflix premiere may be wondering how one Superstar was able to turn a term that was popularized 10 years ago...

2024 has proven to be one of WWE's most successful and memorable years as a professional wrestling company. 2025 is expected to be even bigger as WWE prepares for a WrestleMania in Las Vegas and a Raw premiere on Netflix. As 2024 comes to a close, it's important to reflect on the moments that shaped 2024 into one of WWE's biggest years yet.
Moments like Cm Punk costing Drew McIntyre the World Heavyweight Championship, Damian Priest's Money in the Bank cash-in, Sami Zayn's surprise Intercontinental Title win over Gunther, and Chelsea Green becoming the inaugural WWE Women's United States Champion all rank among the year's best moments. With 2025 already shaping up to be a fundamental year for the future of the company, the best moments in 2024 helped shape that transaction, and this year won't be forgotten any time soon.

Match #1: Women’s Intercontinental Title Tournament Triple Threat – Iyo Sky def. Natalya and Alba Fyre The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
After she and Alba Frye escaped Natalya’s double Sharpshooter, Iyo Sky took to the air to take out her opponents at ringside. In a battle on the turnbuckle moments later, The Queen of Harts sent Fyre to the canvas with a German suplex. In doing so, though, she opened herself up to an Over the Moonsault by The Genius of the Sky that gave Sky the first-round victory and allowed her to advance in the Women’s Intercontinental Championship Tournament.
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Chad Gable def.

The return of WWE’s “Saturday Night’s Main Event” did well in the ratings for NBC.
The two-hour broadcast pulled in 2.3 million viewers on Saturday night between 8 and 10 p.m. Et/Pt. That includes 1.59 million viewers on NBC and an additional 700,000 who streamed it live on Peacock. By comparison, the NBA Cup semifinal matchup between the Houston Rockets and the Oklahoma City Thunder averaged 1.89 million viewers on ABC alone, according to Nielsen data.
This marked the first “Saturday Night’s Main Event” since 2008. That event, which also aired on NBC, drew 2.4 million viewers at that time.
The latest show took place at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on Long Island, N.Y., the site of the first-ever “Saturday Night’s Main Event” back in 1985. It's Survivor Series week, as WWE rolled into the Desert Diamond Arena for Monday Night Raw. Gunther was again left broken at the hands of Damian Priest. This month’s WWE premium live event is about as well-named as they come. In the main event, Cm Punk and Drew McIntyre will settle their months-long feud that has already ventured far beyond the squared circle and included dogs, friendship bracelets, and title belts. Also on the card, Rhea Ripley will look to get back her WWE Women’s World Championship belt from Liz Morgan, who not only knocked her out of action earlier this year but also stole her boy toy, Dominik Mysterio. Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns will team up for a tag match against Reigns’ cousins and former stablemates, The Bloodline. It doesn’t get much more personal than pets, boyfriends, and family. Dunne withstood a monumental amount of punishment from The Celtic Warrior but kept fighting. After being brutalized with the 10 Beats of the Bodhran, Dunne went for the Shillelagh, but Sheamus wrenched it from Dunne’s hands. Smashing records on a seemingly weekly basis, 2024 has been a landmark year for the WWE and its performers and the year is only two-thirds in. Damian Priest, appearing on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, indicated that he had allegedly gotten the role of Namor, who appeared in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The character was eventually played by Tenorch Heurta, reinterpreted as the ruler of Talokan, rather than the ruler of Atlantis, as he is depicted in the comics.

It has been speculated that he was blocked by the WWE from going ahead with the role in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and fans are glad that the actor did not go ahead with playing the character. Ivy Nile and The Creed Brothers of American Made took on Maxxine Dupri, Otis and Akira Tozawa of Alpha Academy in a highly personal Six-Person Mixed Tag Team Match. Alpha Academy looked strong in the early goings, as Maxxine Dupri soared through the air to take out American Made at ringside. Otis hit the Caterpillar and a cannonball but it was not enough to put down The Creed Brothers. Brutus Creed took Otis out with the Brutus Bomb as Julius Creed knocked out Tozawa at ringside. This left Dupri and Nile inside the ring to duke it out. Just as Dupri was about to hit the reverse Caterpillar,...

Kevin Feige’s Marvel Cinematic Universe seems to be an unlucky place for WWE stars. Damian Priest joined Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins on the list of pro-wrestlers who were cut out from a Marvel role. Priest revealed that he almost landed a role in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever but was eventually not allowed to play the character.

If you're a pro wrestling fan, then chances are you'll be all too aware of how much better off WWE is without Vince McMahon. The former Chairman sold the company to UFC owner Endeavor last year and was eventually forced out following a lawsuit which saw the billionaire accused of various acts of heinous sexual abuse.
Not only is the quality of WWE programming now infinitely better, but its wrestlers are considerably happier.
Damian Priest is a former member of The Judgement Day and, at this year's WrestleMania, cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase to become World Heavyweight Champion. Born in New York City to a Nuyorican family, but raised in Dorado, Puerto Rico, there were rumblings a few years ago that he was set to star in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
Asked about that by Chris Van Vliet, Priest confirmed he'd boarded the project...only for WWE...

Welcome to this review of Bash in Berlin, another WWE pay-per-view emanating from overseas – something that the company seem to be pushing for more and more in this “Paul Levesque” era of the WWE. And like recent PPV efforts, this one features fewer matches and a shorter main card (though with the pre-show this was still a big commitment). Let’s see what went down in Germany…
Match #1: Undisputed WWE Championship – Cody Rhodes def. Kevin Owens The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Cody Rhodes is still the Undisputed WWE Champion after Kevin Owens hesitated to attack The American Nightmare’s injured left knee. What started as a friendly competition slowly devolved into a heated back and forth between champion and challenger, all while the raucous German crowd cheered their every move. Owens targeted Rhodes’ midsection, and his consistent attacks led to significant problems for the champion, including his...
