Born and raised in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan, Shivani Bhagwan grew up dancing and acting at an early age. At 13 years old, she started out doing commercial work in the metro Detroit area, and acted in numerous plays and local short films. After graduating high school, she went on to pursue a bachelors in Human Biology at Michigan State University, all the while being the only freshman to make the Michigan State Raas Team (Indian Dance team) Shivani went on to become the captain of the dance team and led the team to become the number 1 team in the nation. After graduating, she moved to LA, where she is now pursuing a career in acting and dancing. Her first national commercial can be seen on TJ Maxx's 2016 Real Women campaign. Shivani has now completed 18 episodes of an Urdu drama, where she plays the character of Yasmin. Aarzu-E-Mann is set to air in Pakistan in 2017. She can now be seen on Youtube creating the latest Indian dance trend, called Bhangra Funk. Shivani teaches weekly Bhangra Funk classes in Los Angeles area.
