Damian Hempstead has been performing since the age of 8, exploring various creative outlets as an actor and a singer with passion and dedication. He made his stage debut as Oliver in Neil Gooding's musical 'Oliver!' (2012), followed by 'The King and I' with Opera Australia (2014). His television debut came in the SBS mini-series 'Deep Water' (2016).
Most recently, Damian appears in the upcoming Amazon Prime TV mini-series 'The Narrow Road to the Deep North' (2024), directed by Justin Kurzel, where he shares the screen with Jacob Elordi.
He's also recently been cast in the upcoming feature thriller, 'The Act' directed by Benjamin Mathews.
Additional credits include the TV series 'The Gamers 2037' (2020-2021) and award-winning indie short films such as 'The Paper Rose' (2018), 'Absolutes' (2018), and 'Pepper' (2019).
In 2022, Damian was honoured as the Grand Winner for Best Song at the Cannes World Film Festival and received a nomination for Best Music Video for his single 'Can't Have You' from his debut EP 'SPLIT.'
