- Dorothy Canton is an accomplished television and film producer and President of Production for Atmosphere Entertainment alongside legendary producer Mark Canton.
Canton recently wrapped production on the film, Arthur the King, based on Mikael Lindnord's book Arthur the Dog Who Crossed the Jungle to Find a Home. The film is directed by Simon Cellan Jones and stars Mark Wahlberg, Nathalie Emmanuel, and Simu Liu.
Canton serves as a Producer of the Power Universe, one of the most successful franchises in television history. The most recent spinoff series, Power Book IV: Force, was the most-watched premiere ever in Starz history; and coupled with Power Book II: Ghost's season two finale, broke records by combining to deliver the most-watched day ever on the Starz app.
The original series, Power, was the number one show on premium cable in both popularity and ratings for its six-year run from 2014 - 2020. The first spinoff series, Power Book II: Ghost, won three NAACP Image Awards including for Outstanding Drama Series, and has been renewed for a third season which is in production. Power Book III: Raising Kanan debuted in the summer of 2021 and is also in production on season two.
Dorothy also produced the animated comedy, The Freak Brothers. Based on the classic underground comic, and featuring the voices of Woody Harrelson, John Goodman, Tiffany Haddish and Pete Davidson, the new series premiered as the most-watched program ever on the Tubi platform.
In film, Canton produced 2019's huge hit, After, a romantic drama starring Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes Tiffin, that spawned three sequels. She also produced Den of Thieves, a crime thriller starring Gerard Butler, Pablo Schreiber, and Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson; and The Comedian, directed by Taylor Hackford and starring Robert DeNiro, Leslie, Mann, Harvey Keitel, and Danny DeVito.

Upper Cut: Highlights of My Hollywood Life, a series based on the memoir by Carrie White, known as the "First Lady of Hairdressing", whose glamorous façade masked a world in perpetual disarray. Susan McMartin is set to adapt the novel, with Julia Fox on board to star.
The 18th, a drama series inspired by the true story of Louise Vinciquerra, a young Italian immigrant wife and mother who rose out of poverty to become the Bootlegging Queen of the American heartland. Odessa A'zion is set for the lead.
Dorothy Canton's passion for the arts developed at a young age as she grew up on sets as the daughter of Mark Canton and esteemed film Producer Wendy Finerman. She earned a BA in Communications at Syracuse University and began her career at NBC Universal in the prestigious Page Program. Canton was instrumental in the successful Academy Awards campaign for "Dallas Buyers Club" and held positions in the publicity departments at USA Network and Focus Features.
