Known as Araiguma Rascal in Japan, classic 1977 anime Rascal the Raccoon has announced that the series will receive an official spin-off anime in 2025, and the main staff, the main cast, a teaser trailer and a teaser image (below) have been revealed for the series. An official website and social media feed have also been published for the new series, which is entitled Araiguma Calcaldan . The Jujutsu Kaisen panel at Anime Expo 2024, which was attended by director Shota Goshozono, Itadori’s Va Junya Enoki and Mappa producer Keisuke Seshimo, had some interesting insights to offer fans about the upcoming anime adaptation of the series.
The panel confirmed that Goshozono will be returning to helm Jujutsu Kaisen: Culling Game Arc (Season 3) at Mappa.
Additionally, when the director was asked about the scenes he is most excited to adapt, he mentioned Maki’s scenes from the Culling Game arc.
While there are many scenes he is eager to bring to the anime, Goshozono specifically highlighted Maki’s as his favorite.
He said there was many scenes he wanted to adapt in season 3, but Maki was his favorite.

The survey period spanned from Nov 15, 2023, to Dec 15, 2023, during which over 3,000 anime fans participated. With a majority of female respondents, accounting for approximately 65%, with 35% being male, the survey captured the sentiments of a diverse audience ranging from those under 19 to individuals in their 40s.

Netflix unpacked a swath of news during its Netflix Anime Festival 2020 livestream Tuesday out of Japan, setting five new anime projects and providing updates on 11 other series in various stages of production at the streamer’s bustling Tokyo headquarters.
The new original projects — continuation Rilakkuma’s Theme Park Adventure, manga-based Thermae Romae Novae, High-Rise Invasion and Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan, and The Way of the Househusband — were unveiled along with updates on 11 others previously announced including anime series based on franchises including Resident Evil, Transformers and Pacific Rim, Yasuke featuring the voice of Lakieth Stanfield, and the continuation of the manga tale Baki Hanma.
