Montse Barriga (Montserrat Barriga Moreno), was born in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, and lives in Barcelona since 2009. Montse is co-founder of Mamut Teatre company. In the audiovisual field, Montse has participated in the making of several short films, two of which were directed by Ethel Jagolkowski, talented novel writer and director who offered her a role at "El Bosque del Consuelo", a woman with autism spectrum disorder who brings her father to despair, sharing scene with the Goya's award winner Celso Bugallo. With the same confidence than Ethel, director Jose Revirriego from ShortVigo films (Tarragona, Spain) proposed Montse to star three of his short films (2018): Encantamiento (Enchantment), La Entrevista (The Interview), and ¡No grites! (Don't Scream!). In 2016 she was listed on IMDb with her role in the Catalan series Night and Day (2016) directed by Manuel Huerga for channel TV3 where she interpreted a flight attendant who finds a missing passenger. Driven by the intention to apply her artistic skills to her medical practice, Montse specialized in Aesthetic Medicine, an area requiring a constant creative approach. In her private life, Montse is married to Guillermo Gerling, with whom she shares the love for music and with whom she has offered various alternative concerts under the label "Kalamagüal" meaning "Open your eyes" in Téenek, an indigenous dialect of San Luis Potosí, hometown of both. Guillermo is also part of Mamut Teatre company.
