Suprotim Sengupta

Suprotim is a leading contemporary Indian writer who has worked in television and films over the last 13 years with Walt Disney, UTV and other leading entertainment brands. With a background in advertising, he made his feature writing debut in 2017 with YRF's romantic drama Meri Pyari Bindu, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Parineeti Chopra. He was the co-director of the dark comedy Judgementall Hai Kya for Balaji Motion Pictures. Suprotim most recently wrote the screenplay for Dil Bechara, the Hindi adaptation of the coming-of-age drama The Fault in Our Stars which was released on Hotstar in July 2020, and received a widely positive reception from critics and the audience. He is currently developing an original series concept and working on two feature film projects with leading Indian production companies.
