- Chris Korkalo was born in Missoula, Montana, and grew up an Army brat. He caught the performing bug in Germany in the 4th grade, when performing as Toto during a school performance of The Wizard of Oz, Chris lifted his leg on the Tin Man. The audience loved it.
Ending up in Virginia, music became a central part of Chris' life. He started playing keyboards in a high school band, then also picked up the guitar. He studied too, earning a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Virginia Tech.
Moving to Virginia Beach led to more music opportunities, with Chris playing in various bands, then working as a sound engineer for several years. The artistry continued to evolve when Chris discovered the film industry in 2004 on the set of The New World. Juggling music, film, and family became the norm.
Chris then picked up a ukulele, co-founded the acoustic rock band Milk Crate Mafia, and started studying acting. Over the years, Chris has landed lead and supporting roles in films, TV shows, and commercials.
Most recent lead acting roles include the feature films Imagined and The Road to Cabazon, and award-winning short films A Christmas Promise, Clouds, and Harmonica Man. Milk Crate Mafia continues to play live gigs in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia.
Chris also composes, has worked on scripted podcasts, pursues voiceover work, and in his downtime, enjoys photography, hiking in our National Parks, and restoring cars.- IMDb Mini Biography By: CK
