Marcela Herrera(I)

Marcela Herrera was raised in the Chicagoland area. Her first introduction to acting was a cattle call, in search of a young female talent, for a lead in a Disney film production. The search was across the U.S. and Canada. She was the only talent selected to do a screen test from Chicago, and was one of 12 girls selected in total. She was flown to Los Angeles to do the screen test. Although she didn't get the role, the production appreciated her imagination and her spirit and encouraged her to continue her pursuit in acting. The experience changed her life. Marcela had worked on projects and commercials as the opportunities presented themselves. As an adult, she took a break from the business, obtained a college degree, got married and had two children. Her re-emergence in the business and rekindled pursuit of her acting career has provided wonderful new opportunities. Always in search of amazing projects and stories (to have the honor to be a part of) , she especially enjoys period-pieces, a good sci-fi and absolutely appreciates the independent projects.
