Rosemary Travale was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. She attended St. John Henry Newman Catholic Secondary School in Stoney Creek, Ontario, as well as Sheridan College for their Bachelor's of Animation program where she graduated with High Honours. She specialized in stop motion animation during her time at Sheridan and her thesis film "The Champ" was screened across North America in film festivals, winning multiple awards.
