Trace Talbot
- Actor
Trace Talbot, recently completing his 17th film in supporting and lead roles, is drawing interest from casting directors all over the US for film and TV. In 2023 he was recognized with a BEST ACTOR - Honorable Mention at the LA Independent Short Film Festival in TALK TO YOUR FISH. His intensive research into the world of autism brought a heartwarming portrayal of a neuro-diverse teen named SAM, who is struggling to manage the responsibilities of living on his own. Trace was also nominated for BEST ACTOR at 2020 Manhattan Shorts World Wide Film Festival for his role as Josh in, TWO LITTLE BOYS, against 971 films. The film later went viral on YouTube for its important message and shocking performances. Trace also enjoyed playing the lead in the video, SUNDAY, which was chosen to play for a month in the previews in 600 theaters nationwide.
Producers state, "He's down to earth, yet has an undeniable sparkle that also translates and commands your attention on the screen and in the editing room." Others have shared, "He's got a gift for quickly creating an emotional and realistic bond on-screen with his co-actors." Directors often comment he's the "can-do kid" on set, "up to try anything to get the shot we need" and "dependable" to a fault.
He was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and works as a local in both Northern and Southern California. He began acting on theatrical stages in 2nd grade in ensembles. He made a natural progression to supporting and leading roles. Dialogue-heavy roles became one of his strengths as he was trusted with upwards of 250+ lines by the age of 11. For the next 4 summers, he committed to acting training with a minimum of 30 hrs/wk for 6 weeks under various acting and musical theater coaches. He craved new challenges and was picked up by the top Northern Cal kids agency, where he quickly booked/direct booked several commercials including favorites, Volkswagen, Apple, Comcast/ Xfinity, EERO, and United Healthcare. After working with The North Face for a year in print and fit modeling, he was selected to fill 1 of the 2 boy model runway spots to reveal their entire new teen line to an audience from around the world. However, his desire for more challenging acting with more dialogue drove his interest to pursue shorts, features, and TV projects. He loves meeting new creative people, being on camera, and doing what comes naturally.
He's held lead roles in many short films including favorites, Talk To Your Fish, Two Little Boys, Galapagos, The Text Generation, and Sauk City in 2022, all of which gave him opportunities to show a lovable kid but with a dramatic and unique flare. His most noteworthy feature films and roles were in popular films, Unleashed (2016) as the water gun kid, Apparition (2019) as the prison boy, Shutout (2017) as the leads son, White Terror (2018) as the boy next door and Abigail (2023) as the bully with southern charm gone wrong.
He continues exploring TV projects and films while simultaneously pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering at Cal Polytechnic University. The future looks bright for this up-and-coming actor. He has representation.
