Krystal was born in Cairns, Queensland Australia. She is profoundly deaf and wears bilateral Cochlear Implants. She discovered her passion in Film at Trinity Bay State High School. Krystal moved to Orlando, FL USA in 2015 to pursue her dreams as the first deaf filmmaker to win an Oscar. In 2020, Krystal received a Regional Emmy Award Director and Regional Emmy Nominated Editor for 'We Kept America Great' Documentary.
