Montreal-born and New York-based artist Miryam "Mimo" Magri, trained as a musician, actor and dancer. Juggling her love for performing arts, Mimo evolved through choir singing, violin classes, drama circles and dance practice. She developed her craft in college, through the theater/arts program, and deepened her practice at the Susan Batson Studio, Anthony Meindel NY, William Esper Studio and Omnibus Miming school. Fluently moving from an art form to another, she was featured as a singer and actor in a rendition of the play "Cheap Hugs" by Annick Lefebvre, presented at the Hudson Theater Guild. Her role landed her a nomination for best singing act of the 2018 New York WinterFest. The play was adapted as a short film, premiering at the New York Shorts International Film Festival (2022) and selected in several film festivals including the CiFF (Cleveland Film, 2023), Cinema by the Bayou (LaFayette, Louisiana), to name a few. She was recently featured in "À la vie, à l'amor" (Émilie Mannering), premiering at the TiFF 2022, as well as Montreal's FNC, Rendez-vous du Cinéma, Prends Ça Court and was nominated at the Canadian Screen Awards 2023.
Her TV credits include Power Book 3, Real Detective, S.K.A.L., Série Noire, Cérébrum (season 2), and more. Miryam also starred as "Michelle" (principal) in season 2 of Fugueuse, and camps "Razzy Dazzy" in Wong & Winchester, set to air in January 2023. She's featured in Becoming Kelly (TV Series), Evergreen (Malin Barr) and in The United States versus Billie Holiday (Lee Daniels film).
