Hank Lee is a Canadian composer born in Taiwan. Lee was trained classically on the piano as a child. After graduating from the University of Southern California he moved to Beijing where he began working full time as a composer for commercials and movies. Lees work in music and sound design can be heard in commercials for Celine, Leica, Airbnb, Mcdonalds, OPPO and many other well established brands. In 2018 Lee began work on music sound design for the feature film "Better Days" directed by Derek Tsang and starring Jackson Yee and Zhou Dong Yu. In 2019 Lee composed the original score for the action film "The Ninth Precinct" directed by Leo Wang starring Roy Chiu. In 2019 Lee also began composing the score for "Tropical Memories" directed by Wen Shipei and starring Eddie Peng and Sylvia Chang. In 2020 Lee worked with director Ning Hao composing the music for "A Beijing Good Person", one of the shorts in the series of shorts titled "My People, My Homeland". In 2020 Lee also composed the music for "Summer Blur" directed by Han Shuai which won the Jury Award at Pingyao International Film Festival and the FIPRESCI Award at Busan Film Festival.
