Luke Imbusch is an American composer & musician, best known as the drummer of the platinum-certified indie rock band The Rare Occasions. Driven by a passion for collaborative storytelling, his work in film & TV scoring spans a variety of genres and musical styles, notably blending rich cinematic orchestration with contemporary hybrid sounds.
Luke has written extensively for children's animation, most recently for Disney's Emmy-winning series 'Big City Greens' and the action-packed Warner Bros film 'Batman: Soul of the Dragon'. He has also composed additional music for AMC's cult classic horror anthology series 'Creepshow' and ABC's romantic drama 'The Baker and the Beauty'. Drawing inspiration from pop music, classical minimalism, and thematic film scores of his youth, Luke's versatility and musicality allow him to tailor a unique sonic palette for each of his projects.
Hailing from Rhode Island, Luke grew up studying classical guitar and percussion, making experimental short films, and performing in bands throughout the Northeast. He has a degree in Film Scoring from Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he formed the group The Rare Occasions with lead singer and childhood friend Brian McLaughlin. The band is set to release its third self-produced studio album 'Through Moonshot Eyes' this fall, with a nationwide tour to follow.
Luke currently resides in Los Angeles.
