- On New Year's Eve,2023, Kardea Brown announced on her Facebook page that she is engaged to longtime boyfriend Bryon Smith, a Customer Lead at Comcast.
- Kardea appeared on a November, 2024 episode of "The Drew Barrymore Show," where it was announced that she will replace Valerie Bertinelli as co-host of the 2025 season of "Kids Baking Championship". Valerie (a lifestyle contributor to Drew's talk show) also appeared and gave Kardea her blessing (Valerie was let go from the competition series in 2024).
