Guido Javier Turtula is an Argentine director and screenwriter born in Buenos Aires. He directed actors such as Hugo Arana, Claudia Lapacó, Iride Mockert, Ornella D'Elia (Los sonámbulos 2019- The sleepwalkers) Fernando Contigiani García (La cordillera) and Mucio Manchini (Silvia prieto, My Masterpiece) among others. In 2016 he premiered his second short film Ay, viejito (Goodbye Oldman), which was part of the selection of multiple national and international film festivals. In 2020 his feature film project El Adiós (The Goodbye) was selected by Mecenazgo Program from the Ministry of culture of Buenos Aires city . The same project was selected to participate in the Storyline Workshop of Cine Qua non lab 2021 (Cine Qua non Lab 2021 (Mexico- US), part of the Ibermedia program, where he was mentored by the prestigious Spanish screenwriter David Muñoz Pantilla (The Devil's Backbone). He studied Film Directing at the Universidad del Cine in Buenos Aires and was trained as a director and screenwriter under the guidance of José Martínez Suárez, Aída Bortnik, Fernando Castets and Juan Campanella.
