Roberta Colangelo

"Minimize Risks, Maximize Opportunities". Roberta (Robi) Colangelo is a producer and former international sales agent and distributor. A "conservative" risk-taker, with over 18 years of deal making experience in the independent film and documentary production and distribution, she possesses a track record of achievements with program sales on digital platforms, television, Home Video markets in USA, EMEA territories, Australia, Japan, and has attended the most important reference markets and conventions, such as AFM, NATPE, MIPCOM, MIPTV, HOTDOCS, History Makers, World Congress of Science and Factual Producers, etc. Roberta is a proactive problem solver and people motivator with demonstrated ability to lead production teams and assisting executive producers with negotiations, drafting and redlining contracts. She also has another motto: "Make Your Attorney Your Best Friend" as she closely works with attorneys in drafting deals, contracts-from above-the-line, to co-production and licensing agreements. (She holds a UCLA ABA-Approved Paralegal Certificate in addition to her BA in Fine Arts). Roberta is also an instructor at the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles for the Producing and Documentary Departments.
