Josh Bogert was born and raised on the west coast of British Columbia where he enjoys the diverse culture of the city, and all that the BC landscape has to offer. He places a high level of importance on his physical and mental health and enjoys Crossfit, weight training, dancing, skiing, swimming, hiking, and dirt biking. His positive outlook and intuitive nature are refreshing for anyone who spends time with him.
Josh's formal music education began at 4 years old with classical violin lessons and quickly expanded to a love of singing and playing guitar, saxophone, drums and piano, as well as a keen talent for DJing, song writing and music production.
Josh's passion for the arts, his strong work ethic and his versatility have opened many doors. He has traveled across Canada and in the United States performing in venues such as Toronto's Budweiser Stage, Ottawa's Canadian Tire Centre, and the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax.
Josh's introduction into the acting world was as a young man going to the prom in a popular Volkswagen Tiguan commercial. Since then he has starred in the Disney, Netflix, and Family Channel original series "Backstage", as lead character "Miles Lennox", and has more recently landed a principal role as "Duane Snodgrass" in the upcoming Hallmark film "It's Christmas, Eve". Josh received private coaching while on the set of Backstage, and continues to take regular classes to hone his craft as an actor.
His natural curiosity and enthusiasm for learning make Josh a high achiever academically, as well as on stage and in front of the camera. At the age of 20, Josh is an ambitious and hard working young man with a confidence, discipline and maturity beyond his years.
